Run the Commute
Our Goal: On December 1st, we will run a half marathon from the Marathon Gas Station at 933 W Pipkin Road to Bartow Senior High School. Through this run, we aim to raise awareness for improving Polk County's public transportation system. So many people struggle with issues of transportation within Polk County, and we want to bring their struggles to light so we can help bring the proper improvements needed for public transportation to the Polk County Government's attention.

Our Route
Citrus Connection's online public survey conducted from September to December of 2024 revealed the needs for improvements and awareness about Citrus Connection's transportation services. Specifically, over 94% of their respondents agreed that improvements were needed for transit services in Polk County, and just under half concluded that there was low awareness about Citrus Connection's services. These and other statistics are detalied in the charts below.
